The alert status is now YELLOW…
There is an elevated risk that Hong Kong will be affected by a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours… Gusts in Hong Kong have reached 63 km/h…

Severe Tropical Storm NALGAE (1119/22W) has weakened into a Tropical Storm… It continues to move closer to Hainan Island… NALGAE’s low level circulation centre remains partly exposed to the east…

The low to mid level easterlies will push the cyclone steadily to Hainan Island and the Gulf of Tonkin in the coming 24 hours…

Under the combined effect of TS NALGAE and northeast monsoon… Strong Force winds can be expected over southern offshore waters and on high ground today…

Please take suitable precautions if you face the east or northeast…
