Typhoon HAIMA (T1622/25W/LawinPH) is showing signs of weakening… The storm is located east of Palanan Bay… or about 140 km east-southeast of Tuguegarao… moving west-northwest in the direction of the Cagayan Valley…

HAIMA is still a destructive Typhoon… with maximum sustained wind speed of about 205 km/h (110 kts) (10-min)… Overall structure of HAIMA continues to degrade due to land interactions with Luzon… but please bear in mind that HAIMA is still a destructive storm…

JMA reduced the intensity to 185 km/h (100 kts) at 8 p.m. local time… while PAGASA keeps HAIMA’s strength at 225 km/h…

HAIMA will weaken further after making landfall as it traverses Luzon…

HAIMA is expected to make landfall on Cagayan or Isabela Province later tonight or in the small hours of Thursday… HAIMA will leave Luzon tomorrow morning…

Friends in Cagayan Valley / Cordillera AR / Ilocos Region should prepare for Typhoon conditions IMMEDIATELY… Stay in shelters…  DESTRUCTIVE Hurricane Force winds will be observed along the path of HAIMA… There may be storm surges… Take all necessary measures to prevent loss of lives and properties now… Residents in northern parts of Central Luzon should also pay attention to possible heavy rain and strong gusts…
