Increasing… but still disorganzied… convection is found near the low level circulation centre of TD 29W… Earlier ASCAT scan revealed some 25+ kts vectors… The maximum sustained wind speed around the centre is estimated to be 55 km/h (30 kts)…

Environmental conditions are favourable for development in general… 29W is forecast to consolidate and intensify slowly as it travels across the Philippines… It may become a Tropical Storm (TOKAGE) in 36 hours…

TD 29W will track west-northwest across the Visayas tomorrow… It will then exit the Philippines via Mimaropa…

Due to the combined effect of northeasterly flow and 29W… strong gusts and showers can also be expected in eastern and southern Luzon… Friends in Western Visayas / Mimaropa should prepare for possible Tropical Storm conditions… Residents in Central Visayas / Negros Region / Bicol region / Calabarzon should be aware of strong gusts and heavy showers
